A deli on the Norfolk coast has made the final four of a prestigious food and drink award.

The Norfolk Deli has reached the final round in the Small Independent Retailer of the Year category at the 2024 Speciality Fine Food Fairs Annual Awards.

Mark and Rosie Kacary, who own the Hunstanton shop, said they were "thrilled" by the news.

In partnership with the British Independent Retailers Association, the award is given to forward-thinking retailers at the heart of their community who provide exceptional customer service and run new and exciting initiatives to bring the community together.

The deli will compete with Pangbourne Cheese Shop in Reading, the Forest Deli in the Forest of Dean and The Cheese Lady in East Lothian for the top spot.

The final round will be a public vote which ends on September 2 and the winner will be announced at the Speciality Fine Food Fair at Olympia London on September 11.

The Norfolk Deli sells a range of artisanal products, including cheeses, charcuterie and local produce.

The business was opened by Mark and Rosie Kacary in 2014 along Greevegate in the town centre.

In 2019, the pair expanded with a café around the corner in the High Street.

They work with 80 local producers and their website boasts an online farmers' market, so customers across the country can build their own hampers.
