The Norfolk Broads has been named among the UK's most "refreshing" spots.

The Telegraph included it in its ranking of the best places to go to escape the summer heat.

The River Bure attracted particular attention.

The article said: "The River Bure burbles gently beneath Norfolk’s enormous skies, fringed by weeping willows, pretty villages and expansive marshes.

"Hire a day-cruiser from Wroxham, complete with sun canopy and kitchen, to navigate the Broads.

"Or tackle the Mystery of the River Bure, a waterborne “escape room” via paddleboard from nearby Horning."

It also suggested renting a Riverside Rentals cottage for the duration of the holiday.

In January, Time Out named the Broads one of the most beautiful national parks in the country.

Other polls have recognised the great hiking trails and family-friendly holiday lets in the area.
