Three Albanian men face jail and potential deportation after £200,000 worth of cannabis was seized on the A11 in Norfolk.

Blerim Muca, 30, Renaldo Dyrmishi, 25, and Xhesi Hajdari, 23, were arrested after the huge haul was found when they were stopped between Wymondham and the Thickthorn roundabout on May 14.

Investigations subsequently led police to a cannabis farm in the disused former David Howkins Museum of Memories on King Street in Great Yarmouth where 650 cannabis plants were discovered.

The trio, who all have addresses in Birmingham, pleaded guilty at Norwich Crown Court to conspiracy to supply cannabis between May 12 and 15.

The court was told all three were admitting the charge on a basis of plea that limited their involvement in cannabis production.

Pleading guilty through an interpreter, Muca stated: “I was made to transport it, I was not involved in production”.

Judge Anthony Bate was told the Albanian nationals understood that a jail sentence could lead to their deportation and were keen to be sentenced as soon as possible.

All three were remanded in custody.
