Auction House East Anglia held its fifth auction of the year on Wednesday, July 24.

“We sold 54 lots raising just under £10 million and have already done a number of post auction deals,” said Robert Hurst, auction surveyor.

“One of the highlights was the sale of a windmill at Langley Marshes in Haddiscoe, on instruction of receivers, for £265,000.

“The highest price lot sold was a Grade II listed thatched farmhouse on Ingham Road in Brumstead, which sold for £650,000.

“The lowest price lot was a let ground-floor flat producing £595 pcm (£7,140 pa) on St Peter’s Road in Great Yarmouth, which sold for £50,000.”

A mixture of lots including residential, commercial and land went under the hammer and some of the sales include:

- On instruction of a housing association, a three-bedroom terrace house needing modernisation on Entrance Lane in Brooke sold for £167,000.

- A one-bedroom end-terrace bungalow requiring refurbishment on West End in Saxlingham Thorpe sold for £116,000.

  • On behalf of mortgagees, a two-bedroom second-floor flat at Dukes Palace Wharf in Norwich sold for £141,000.
  • A three-bedroom mid-terrace house requiring modernisation on Glenmore Gardens in Norwich sold for £181,000.
  • On behalf of an institutional client, an office building on Waldegrave in Bowthorpe sold for £202,000.
  • A two-bedroom ground-floor flat on Nelson Street in King’s Lynn sold for £80,000.
  • A one-bedroom flat on Princes Street in Ipswich sold for £62,500.
  • A two-bedroom semi-detached bungalow on Rothbury Road in Wymondham sold for £195,000.
  • A two-bedroom semi-detached house requiring modernisation on Northfield Gardens in Wymondham sold for £163,000.
  • A parcel of land extending to around 0.17 of an acre on Low Common in Ashill sold for £60,000.
