The Red Arrows will take to the skies over Norfolk this afternoon to mark RAF Families Day.

The jets are set to depart from RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire at midday and will fly up to RAF Leeming, passing bases in Wyton and Honington.

They can be spotted over Redgrave, near Diss, at around 12.18pm.

From there, they will fly north over west Norfolk.

People in villages such as Garboldisham, Shipdham, South Creake and Burnham Market will be able to catch a glimpse as the jets head across The Wash back to Lincolnshire.

It is not known when the Red Arrows will next fly over the region.

They will be making the journey across the Atlantic in August ahead of their Canadian tour.

Only three displays - in Blackpool, Edinburgh and Eastbourne - have been planned before this.

The Red Arrows last flew over Norfolk on June 15 in a flyover for the King's birthday.
