Drivers are being sent on an hour and 20 minute-long diversion as the A140 closes again.

The major route is shutting at Tivetshall St Mary, near Diss, for the second time this month.

The road will be closed overnight on July 26 from 8pm until 5am for "highway improvement works".

Motorists will be taken up a stretch of the A140 into Norwich before travelling on the A146 into Gillingham and the A143 into Scole.

A spokesman for Norfolk County Council said: "The County Council thanks people for their patience while this surface improvement work is carried out."

The road is due to close for a third time in August.
