A licence application for a new cellar bar in a market town has been given the green light.

The applicant, Natalie Carlile, applied to the East Suffolk Council licencing department to open the business in Bungay a month ago.

According to the application, the business's name will be "Monk's Cellar".

The granted licence permits the business to serve alcohol between 10am and 6.30pm and the business opening hours agreed by the licence are the same.

Documents say that the bar will be based at 11a Market place, Bungay, NR35 1AP.

Nobody made any representations against the business.

An East Suffolk Council spokeswoman said: "No representations against the application were received and as the consultation period has now ended, the premises licence will be granted.”
