Police are still hunting the man who knocked another unconscious in a packed beer garden in front of supporters watching England play in the Euros after a row over the screen being blocked.

The front garden of the Woolpack Inn was crammed full of people hoping for a late England winner against Denmark on June 20, at the time of the attack.

In chaotic scenes, food was thrown and fans were pushed before a man was punched unconscious by another man who than ran away from the scene.

The victim was on the ground for around an hour, tended to by members of the public until the emergency services arrived. One woman prevented him from swallowing his tongue.

One witness said: "My initial thoughts were that he was dead."

The victim, in his 20s, was eventually taken to the N&N for further treatment.

Nearly a month on from the attack, police are still yet to have arrested the attacker.

A spokeswoman said that "enquiries are ongoing".
