These secret and private Norfolk gardens are opening to the public for special events in August 2024.
The National Garden Scheme (NGS) raises money for nursing and health charities through admissions, tea and cake.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 4
1. BRICK KILN HOUSE, PRIORY LANE, SHOTESHAM, NR15 1UJ
A two-acre country garden with a large terrace, lawns and colourful herbaceous borders.
2. 33 WALDEMAR AVENUE, HELLESDON, NR6 6TB
A surprising and large suburban garden with an exciting mix of exotic and tropical plants.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 11
3. BLUEBELL BARN, LYNG HALL LANE, WOOD NORTON, NR20 5BJ
A garden and meadow covering two-and-a-half acres, which has been newly planted over the past four years.
4. FIDDIANS FOLLY, UPWOOD FARM, NORTH BARNINGHAM, NR11 7LA
A three-acre garden filled with follies and created from brick and stone elements in an area which was once a quarry.
5. SEVERALS GRANGE, HOLT ROAD, WOOD NORTON, NR20 5BL
A perfect example of how colour, shape and form can be created with foliage plants - from large shrubs to small alpines.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 18
6. CHARNWOOD, 7 POSTWICK LANE, BRUNDALL, NR13 5RD
A summer garden on three levels featuring mixed and herbaceous borders, a small vegetable garden and a pond.
7. HOLME HALE HALL, HOLME HALE, SWAFFHAM, IP25 7ED
A walled kitchen garden designed by Arne Maynard and replanted in 2016/17.
8. HOVETON HALL GARDENS, HOVETON HALL ESTATE, HOVETON, NR12 8RJ
15 acres of gardens and woodland, with a nature spy activity trail for children.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 25
9. ACRE MEADOW, NEW ROAD, BRADWELL, NR31 9DU
A small garden with a dramatic mix of exotic and late-season plants.
10. COBWEB COTTAGE, 51 SHINGHAM, BEACHAMWELL, PE37 8AY
A small cottage garden on the edge of the village with mixed borders, a sunken greenhouse and an ornamental kitchen garden.
