A Norfolk summer tradition that has warmed the hearts of many locals and visitors is hitting the roads again for its 37th anniversary.

The East Coast Truckers Convoy will take place during the August bank holiday, and some truckers will be heading to Norwich this weekend for a special meet and greet.

An exhibition trailer will be parked outside The Forum on Saturday from 10am until 4pm. There will be live music throughout the day, as well as a tombola.

Convoy organiser Trevor Howlett said: "We wanted to get to the heart of the city to spread the word.

"People will have the chance to meet some of the team and find out a little more about what we do. We're hoping the weather will be on our side and it should be a great day for families."

Visitors will also have the chance to climb aboard a truck and meet some of the team ahead of the big convoy on Sunday, August 24, when 90 lorries will take disabled and disadvantaged Norfolk children for a fun day out to Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft.
