A chef who previously saw off a legal threat from McDonald’s has secured a pub kitchen residency.

Matty C's is run by Matthew Coldham, 42, from Newton Flotman, and he previously ran burger vans in the Norwich area.

Back in 2018, he received a letter from solicitors acting on behalf of McDonald's that claimed his logo was infringing on their trademark.

However, he was determined to stick with his branding and the fast food chain backed down and said they would not take the matter any further.

After a few years away, Matty C's is back with a kitchen residency at The Countryman in Tasburgh, which is owned by Steve Burley.

Starting on August 1, the opening times are 5pm to 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays, 12noon to 9pm on Saturdays and 10am to 6pm on Sundays.

The menu includes pub classics, such as pies and all-day breakfasts, alongside burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, baguettes, jacket potatoes and basket meals.

Mr Coldham said: "The Countryman is a traditional pub so the food I offer pairs perfectly with it.

"Customers can expect top quality dishes at a reasonable price."
