Drivers will face further disruption on a major route into the city over the next month.

Dereham Road in Costessey will close for five nights on Wednesday from 7pm to 6am.

The road closure will allow road surfacing works to take place from the Longwater Lane junction to the Asda garage.

The majority of planned work for the Bowthorpe Roundabout will be completed by the end of July.

Outstanding utility works for final surfacing are still to be confirmed by Norfolk County Council.

A spokesman for the council said: "We aim to minimise any inconvenience and will ensure the most disruptive work is completed early in the evening."
