An ITV Anglia newsreader has announced her surprise departure from the station after more than 20 years on-screen.

Sascha Williams revealed today she would be leaving the station based in Norwich's Anglia House after 21 years.

The Good Morning Britain presenter shared the news via her personal social media accounts.

She posted a montage of photographs from her time on air to Instagram with the caption: "After 21 years (and by the look of it, about as many hairstyles) it’s time to bid farewell to ITV.

"It’s been one heck of a ride, working some of the absolute best in the business.

"Will miss them lots (though probably not the 4am alarm)."

"Thank you for always being so lovely and kind to me during my time at ITV News."
