Plans for a major new food store have been revealed after developers applied to demolish a car park.
New River Retail hopes to knock down the two-storey structure at the Horsefair Shopping Centre in Wisbech.
Its application to Fenland Council says it intends to clear the site, beside the Freedom Bridge Roundabout, "with the intention to erect a food store ".

No other details are given in its application to demolish the car park, one of Wisbech's most prominent if less-appealing landmarks.
Detailed demolition plans set out how the site, on one of the busiest junctions in the town, will be secured, along with how waste will be removed.
They add water cannons will be used to control dust and air quality will be monitored around the site whilst work is in progress.
Horsefair was built in the late 1980s. The developer hopes to begin demolishing the car park in January and expects the work to take four months.
