A boat has become stuck in the Norfolk Broads after a "major failure" left it needing rescue.

The cruiser became stranded on the River Yare on Saturday evening - blocking the busy route.

Due to its position, the boat was at further risk of being a danger and required urgent help.

A call was made to Humber Coastguard who tasked Hemsby Lifeboat who made the decision to tow the vessel back to a safe location in Great Yarmouth.

The Gorleston Coastguard Team also attended the scene, ensuring the safety and well-being of all involved and confirming the vessel was secure.
