The latest closure on a busy main road will send drivers on a 44-mile diversion.

Fakenham Road is closing on July 8 disrupting motorists in Lenwade.

The road will be closed overnight from 8.15pm to 6am until July 11.

A fully signed diversion route will be in place and will take drivers on a long diversion.

Motorists will be taken up a stretch of the A1067 into Fakenham before travelling on the A148 into Holt, down Norwich Road and taking the A1270 back to join Fakenham Road.

The work will see the four-mile section of the road being applied with a surface dressing between Elsing Lane and the B1535.

A spokesman for Norfolk County Council said: "The County Council thanks people for their patience while this surface improvement work is carried out."
