A new family-friendly summer festival with street food and live music is coming to a Norfolk town.

The Big Family Weekend is set to take over North Walsham's Memorial Park on Saturday, August 17 to Sunday, August 18 from 12pm to 8pm.

The festivities will feature a main stage line-up of musical performances, around 30 stalls fronted by local businesses, a selection of food vendors and a licensed bar.

Events organiser, Adam Coulton, has a background in festivals and entertainment running the Nearly Festival, a live tribute music event and a family fun-day which tours across East Anglia.

Mr Coulton said: "It's the first time that we're coming to this venue and we're hoping to get lots of people to come along and support the festival so we can set it up annually."

“It's very family-friendly and there's lots going on for the children. Meanwhile, adults can enjoy the music and have a cheeky drink or two.”
