Some might dismiss it as hocus pocus - but a practising witch has set up in business selling her spells.

Claire Brett has opened the Practical Magick Emporium in a former postal sorting office on Alma Road at Snettisham, near Hunstanton.

She said she needed to find a premises to operate from after her wares, which also include scented candles and scented salt, took off at wellbeing and craft fairs, which she began attending in February.

Mrs Brett, 45, who has been a witch from an early age, said the craft was about working with the planet and nature.

She offers £20 spell packs which people can take away to use at home - insisting some have already done the trick.

"There's an abundance spell which will bring about an abundance of anything you want, it could be an abundance of money or love," she said.

"We've got a manifestation spell, which you could use to manifest anything you want - it could be getting someone to get in contact with you."

Mrs Brett, who also works as a support worker, said one customer had won £10,000 shortly after trying a spell.

She herself found love, meeting her husband Daren, 56-year-old forklift driver, after casting a spell on Hallowe'en, in 2021, setting out what she was looking for from a future partner.

"I think people are finding everyday life so much of a chore, it's got so hard, so stressful," she said.

"I think they're going back to a more nature-based lifestyle, which is what being a practising witch is about.

"I’ve read tarot cards for 30 years and always been so connected to nature."
