A person has been taken to hospital in critical condition after a two-car crash in west Norfolk.

Police were called to the A1101 at Emneth at 8.25am following reports of the collision.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene.

Fire crews, two air ambulances, two ambulances and two ambulance officer vehicles were called to the scene.

There was heavy traffic in the area near the junction to the The Wroe.

One person has been taken by air ambulance to Addenbrookes Hospital in a critical condition.

Another person has been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by road ambulance with serious injuries.
