Election candidates will go head to head at Norwich Cathedral when the city landmark hosts a hustings.

The parliamentary candidates for Norwich North have all been invited to the hustings at the cathedral on Friday.

Those who have confirmed attendance include Alice Macdonald (Labour), Charlotte Salomon (Conservative) and Nick Taylor (Reform UK).

Catherine Rowett, who is standing in South Norfolk, will be representing the Green Party.

The other Norwich North candidates are Chika Akinwale (Liberal Democrat) and Fiona Grace (Independent).

The Dean of Norwich, the Very Revd Dr Andrew Braddock, said: “Election hustings play a vital role in local democracy, giving an opportunity to question the candidates who wish to represent us in parliament.

“Norwich Cathedral is pleased to host such public debate and so contribute to the election process.”

The event will start at 7.30pm in the Nave, but people are encouraged to arrive early as they can submit questions from 7pm.

The nation will go to the polls on Thursday, July 4.

Admission is free and no ticket is needed.
