Investigations are continuing into the death of a man found at a seaside car park almost two-and-a-half years ago.

Craig Secker, 42, died at the Weybourne Beach Car Park in north Norfolk on January 9, 2022.

An inquest into his death was first opened at Norfolk Coroners' Court, based at County Hall in Norwich, in April 2022.

At the time, Jaqueline Lake, the county’s senior coroner, said the medical cause of death had been given as methadone toxicity.

A brief pre-inquest review, which took place at the court on June 19, confirmed that investigations were on-going and a further review would be held on August 29.

Mr Secker lived in Brooke Road in Seething and worked as the director of Insignia Healthcare Group.

The group paid tribute to Mr Secker via social media.

An online post said: “Craig's family and the Insignia office team would like to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts and support at this very difficult time.

“Craig was so much more than just Insignia. He was our leader, friend, loved one and so, so much more.

“He had a wicked sense of humour and a story for everything. His love and kindness for anyone stretched far. These are the things that we all hold dear and offer comfort.”

He was also described as a “beloved and wonderful man”.

Following his death, donations were raised in his memory for the charity Nelson’s Journey.
