Cromer's Crab and Lobster Festival kicked off with its opening concert last night.

The festival, which celebrates the north Norfolk town's seafaring heritage, will run all weekend at the Evington Lawns.

Between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, people can enter for free and enjoy a number of activities, displays and performances.

The party began on Friday evening at the pier's Pavillion Theatre, with Olly Day hosting the first Grand Opening Concert in five years alongside special guests including Nigel ‘boy’ Syer and the Sheringham Shantymen.

Over Saturday and Sunday, visitors can expect to find food, drink, craft stalls, cooking demonstrations, children's activities, heritage displays, seafaring crafts and a crab dressing competition.
