A teenager who was on the run from police after being charged with attempted murder has been arrested.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found by police in Cambridge.

He has been arrested on suspicion of absconding from lawful custody.

The teenager was previously charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing in Thetford of a man in his 30s, who was attacked in front of his fiancée and two young daughters on Mother’s Day morning.

The victim, Danny Norman, suffered multiple stab wounds during the incident.

On April 23, the 17-year-old and another suspect, Elvis Price, 18, were arrested in Kent after a six-week manhunt and charged with attempted murder.

Price has also been charged with possession of a bladed article.

After a hearing at Norwich Magistrates' Court, the 17-year-old was remanded into the care of a local authority under bail conditions until his next court appearance.

He was then taken to a care facility where he was to remain under strict supervision.

However, police were notified by the care facility on April 27 that he had absconded from the site before an electronic tag could be fitted.

He is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court with Price on May 23.
