The owner of a popular seaside café is opening a new coffee shop in the town he calls a "Norfolk gem".

Robbie Kirtley, owner of the Rocket House Café on Cromer seafront, is set to open his second venue - the Rocket House Coffee Shop - in the centre of town next month.

The new coffee shop will open in Church Street in June, where Coffee Therapy used to be.

"It's a really exciting new venture," Mr Kirtley, who has owned the Rocket House Café since 2006, said.

"The great thing about Cromer is it's not as seasonal as it used to be. It's a gem in Norfolk which benefits from loyal local trade and visitors, who come to the town all year round."

"I think it's really important to keep it simply but do the food really well.

"I can't wait to get going."

The Rocket House Coffee Shop will serve hot drinks alongside a selection of wraps, sandwiches, toasties and cakes, as well as ice creams from a takeaway window.

It will be open seven days a week and is set to create three jobs.
