Plans for a new bungalow in a coastal village look set to get the go-ahead.

West Norfolk council's planning committee has been recommended to approve plans for the new three-bed property off Teal Close, at Snettisham, near Hunstanton.

A report to councillors says the site is currently vacant and being used to store building materials.

It adds: "The proposed dwelling would be of modest proportions and simple construction, with brick facades and a tiled pitched roof."

Snettisham Parish Council objected to the plans, describing them as "over-development".

Three villagers also objected, with one saying the site was too small and another complaining about noise from previous developments nearby.

But a planning officer's report concluded the development "would not cause a significant impact on the amenities of neighbouring residents" due to its small scale.
