Presenter Trisha Goddard, who spent many years living in Norwich, has been diagnosed with incurable breast cancer.
Goddard, now 66, who now resides in Connecticut in America with her husband Allen, revealed the news in an exclusive interview with Hello! magazine.
From 1998 to 2004 she lived in Norwich, where her eponymous chat show was made for Anglia TV.
She was first diagnosed with and recovered from breast cancer in 2008, but 19 months ago she discovered it had returned - this time to her bones, specifically her right hip.

She has secondary breast cancer, also known as metastatic or stage 4 breast cancer, which is treatable but incurable.
Goddard said: "When you go to the doctors in the States, there's a choice of three little boxes you tick for treatment of stage 4 cancer.
"One is a cure, one is life-prolonging and one is palliative.
"There is that awful feeling when you’re sitting there thinking: 'Which one?' And mine is life-prolonging."
Explaining why she didn't say anything until now, she said: "I'm a journalist; I don't want to be 'the story'.
"I don't want to be interviewing someone and for them to say to me: 'I'm so sorry.'"
